The O.J. tactic: Climate change skeptics sound like Simpson’s lawyers: If the winter glove won’t fit, you must acquit

In recent years, every major scientific body in the world has produced reports confirming the peril of climate change. All 15 of the warmest years on record have come in the last two decades. And Earth’s major natural systems are all showing undeniable signs of rapid flux: melting Arctic and glacial ice, rapidly acidifying seawater and so on.

Yet because of a recent onslaught of attacks on the science of climate change, fewer Americans now believe humans are warming the planet than did just a few years ago.

The doubters of climate science have launched an enormously clever — and effective — campaign, and it’s worth trying to understand how they’ve done it. The best analogy is perhaps the O.J. Simpson trial.

it is very evident that climate change is already taking effect in this decade”.”

  2. Climate Change really causes the formation of bigger tornadoes and bigger typhoons too;,’

  3. the climate change that we experience these days are caused by too much air pollutants ~

  4. Eileen Torenson says:

Stop calling the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) deniers “clever”, politically. There is nothing smart or intelligent about their crap. All they do is apply brute force.

I could do the same thing on any issue: raise doubt that having sex with children hurts them, raise doubt that the moon landing too place, raise doubt that there is anything illegal about making bomb or death threats to the White House. Got it? Just regurgitate and spin new lies on top of old ones. Call the opposing side a religion, or corrupt, or out to make tons of money. That certainly IS true in the case of cops and judges, who make MILLIONS of dollars on the kidnapping and imprisonment of millions of innocent people throughout the world, including the USA, China, North Korea, Iran, South America.

That is why I no longer argue facts or science with AGW-deniers.
I just make up whatever things I want about them and hurl it back at them. THAT is what they want. THAT is what the stupid americans want.
